Enjoy a heartwarming play of courage, determination and friendship, based upon the motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly. The film premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and, in 2015, Waitress was adapted into a Tony-nominated musical.
Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker, is stuck in a small town in an abusive marriage. Faced with an unwanted pregnancy, Jenna fears she may have to abandon the dream of opening her own pie shop. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town's handsome new doctor offer her a tempting chance for happiness. Supported by her quirky crew of fellow waitresses and loyal customers, Jenna summons the secret ingredient she's been missing all along—courage.
