My New Red Shoes, a 501c(3) non-profit, is hosting a project for the Center for Social Impact. Let's come together to pay it forward by sorting shoes and clothes to send to families in need throughout the Bay Area.
The project is open to adults and families with children of all ages.
About My New Red Shoes:
Inspired to action after learning about her mother's experience with childhood poverty, My New Red Shoes' founder, Heather Hopkins, organized an all-volunteer community effort out of her garage to distribute new shoes, new clothing and the gift of dignity and confidence to local youth.
In that first year, MNRS clothed 354 school-aged children in Santa Clara County and San Mateo County. Since then, they've moved out of Heather's garage and into the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits in Redwood Shores, growing their service area to include the greater San Francisco Bay Area. They are helping to close the clothing, confidence and inclusion gap for nearly 100,000 youth in our community and serving over 240,000 individuals as of December 2022.
