The original production of Fiddler on the Roof won ten Tony® Awards, including a special Tony for becoming the longest-running Broadway musical of all time. Fiddler on the Roof is based on Tevye the Dairyman and his Daughters, a series of stories by Sholem Aleichem written in Yiddish between 1894 and 1914, about Jewish life in a village in the Pale of Settlement of Imperial Russia at the turn of the 20th century.

This new production of Fiddler on the Roof has stunning dances from acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter, based on the original staging by Jerome Robbins. Tony-winning director Bartlett Sher and the team behind South Pacific, The King and I and 2017 Tony-winning Best Play Oslo, bring a fresh and authentic vision to this beloved theatrical masterpiece from Tony winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick.

A talented cast and a lavish orchestra tell this heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and timeless traditions. Enjoy the musical hits you know and love, including "Tradition," "Sunrise, Sunset," "If I Were A Rich Man," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker" and "To Life (L'Chaim!)."

COVID Safety Protocols: It is strongly suggested that masks be worn at all times in the theater and on the bus. The safety protocols are subject to change and will be updated as needed.

This excursion is offered at a greatly reduced price due to the generous support from the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund.
