A class brought to you by the OFJCC, BINA and IYUN.
Join Zoe Fertik, OFJCC's beloved Jewish educator and a Hausner parent, for a new 8-week Jewish learning cohort. This course is open to learners of all levels—no background necessary. If you've always wondered about the deeper meaning of the Jewish holidays, then this course is for YOU!
If you enjoyed Zoe and Tova's year-long series, Holidays for Heretics, this course will show new perspectives on the holidays. We will go deeper into texts that demonstrate each holiday's theme and explore new possibilities for our own personal ways of connecting to the Jewish calendar.
Zoe Fertik is the Associate Director of Jewish Content at the Oshman Family JCC. Previously, she worked at BINA: The Jewish Movement for Social Change, where she founded an English Beit Midrash for the Secular Yeshiva in Tel Aviv. Zoe studied religion at Wesleyan University, and has a masters in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School. She is also a proud alumna of several immersive Jewish learning and Israel programs, including EIE, Kivunim, Pardes and Yeshivat Hadar. Zoe is a Wexner Graduate Fellow in Jewish Education and a member of The Schusterman Foundation's ROI Community.
