"בייבי-קלאסי" היא סדרת מפגשי מוסיקה ותנועה להורה וילד. במפגשים נהנה מיצירות קלאסיות מאת גדולי המלחינים (מוצרט, באך, שופן ועוד) מבוצעות על הפסנתר. נקשיב ונחווה את הצלילים דרך הגוף והשרירים, בתנועה בחלל ובהכרות ראשונה עם תווים ומקצבים, נרקוד וננגן בכלי נגינה.

מחקרים מראים כי שיעורי מוזיקה משפרים את כל היכולות: הם משפרים קואורדינציה, גורמים לחיבורים במוח לעבוד ומייצרים קשרים חדשים, מאפשרים למידה על קשב, מבנה, חזרתיות ושמירה על הכללים, ופותחים עולמות תוכן ותרבויות שונות בפני הילדים. האינטראקציה מפתחת כישורים חברתיים.

מנחת הסדרה היא אפרת לוי, פסנתרנית, בעלת ניסיון רב בהעברת הפעלות לילדים.

אפרת לוי היא פסנתרנית וקורפטיטורית שמופיעה בקביעות עם זמרים והרכבים קאמריים ברחבי העולם. אפרת עבדה בבתי האופרה בישראל ובגרמניה. כיום היא מנהלת את הסטודיו שלה בארה"ב, בו היא מלמדת פסנתר ומדריכה זמרי אופרה.

מתוך האמונה שיש לחשוף ילדים למוסיקה קלאסית בגיל צעיר, יצרה אפרת את התוכנית "אופרה למשפחות", איתה היא מופיעה בקביעות מול הורים וילדים בכל הגילאים. אפרת היתה המנהלת המוסיקלית של המקהלה ושל תאטרון מחזות הזמר של ה-OFJCC. במהלך הקיץ האחרון הקימה אפרת את ה- backyard theater ובמסגרתו העלתה את הפקות מחזות הזמר אנני, אלאדין, מלך האריות, צ'רלי בממלכת השוקולד ופרוזן.

Join us for a series of six 45-minute sessions of live classical music and movement. Babies and their parents will enjoy pieces by Mozart, Bach, Chopin and more, played on the piano, while experiencing movement, feeling the rhythm and mood of the piece, dancing and playing instruments.

Research shows that the study of music develops many skills: it improves motor coordination, develops social skills, teaches the benefits of listening to yourself and others, as well as the benefits of structure and repetition. It exposes children to new cultures and new fields of knowledge.

Instructors: Efrat Levy, concert pianist

Pianist and vocal coach Efrat Levy performs regularly with opera singers and chamber ensembles in recitals all over the world. She worked at the Israeli Opera House and with opera singers from the Staatsoper Berlin. Enthusiastic about the idea of exposing young children to the wonders of classical music, Efrat created the "Opera for Families" program which has been performed dozens of times. Efrat is the musical director of the community choir and the children's musical theater at the OFJCC. She also teaches piano and coaches singers at her private studio. During the summer, Efrat created backyard theater and produced the musicals Annie, Aladdin, Lion King, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Frozen.
