    Join the OFJCC on its 12th visit to the Carmel Bach Festival. This is a wonderful three-day, two-night trip to beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea. There is so much to enjoy in Carmel: the gorgeous beach, extraordinary art galleries, wine/olive oil/chocolate/cheese tasting, historic buildings, hidden alleys, antique shops, boutiques, parks, excellent restaurants and of course the world-class concerts.

    Registration is now open on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited.

    Single Occupancy $1,550 | Double Occupancy $1,150 per person | Deluxe Room add $224
    Included: Round trip bus transportation from the OFJCC by private coach, two nights at the hotel, breakfasts at the hotel, group welcome lunch, two evening concerts at the Sunset Center

    Note: we do not have transportation during our stay in Carmel; all activities are within a few blocks from the hotel. 

    Evening Concerts at the Sunset Center Theater:

    • Monday | 7:30–9:00 PM | Bach, Haydn and Beethoven with conductor Peter Hanson and the Festival Orchestra
    • Tuesday | 7:30–9:30 PM | Mozart Requiem with conductor Andrew Megill, festival orchestra, chorale, chorus and vocalists.

    Optional Add-on Matinee Concerts: 
    The Bach Festival has four matinee concerts during our stay, but in order to allow people to enjoy Carmel at their own pace, we have left the matinee concerts as optional add-ons. They are not included in the package price and tickets must be ordered at time of registration.

    • Monday | 3:00–4:00 PM | Meet the composer Isabella Leonarda, 17th century's most prolific female composer of her time. Violin, cello, theorbo, harpsichord and vocalist. | All Saint's Episcopal Church | $32
    • Tuesday | 1:30–2:30 PM | Comparing and Contrasting Legacies, J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach and Telemann. Violin, oboe, cello and harpsichord. | Sunset Center Foyer | $36
    • Tuesday | 3:00–4:00 PM | Timeless Inspirations. Works by Linda Caitlin Smith, Haydn, Sidemen, J.S. Bach and Mozart. String quartet. | All Saint's Episcopal Church | $32
    • Wednesday | 1:30–2:30 PM | Baroque Lute Masterpieces. Works by J.S. Bach/Weiss, Robert de Visee, Silvius Leopold Weiss and Bernhard Joachim Hagen. Lute, lautenwerk (lute-harpsichord) and violin. | Sunset Center Foyer | $36

    Three days and two nights in Carmel-by-the-Sea
    Time: Check in at the OFJCC at 8:30 AM on Monday. Return on Wednesday, around 5:30 PM depending on traffic.
    Price: Single Occupancy $1,550 | Double Occupancy $1,150 per person | Deluxe Room add $224
    Parking: Cars may be parked at the OFJCC for three days by arrangement
    Transportation: Private coach from the OFJCC
    Hotel: Historic Cypress Inn downtown with a hearty breakfast included. This is a pet-friendly hotel.
    Group Welcome Lunch: Grasings, an elegant restaurant at 6th and Mission Streets
    Included: Round trip bus transportation from the OFJCC by private coach, two nights at the hotel, breakfasts at the hotel, group welcome lunch, two evening concerts at the Sunset Center.
    Refund Policy: There is a $250 non-refundable cancellation fee per person. Refunds will only be issued if we can resell your place.
    Travel Insurance: We recommend obtaining travel insurance in the event you need to cancel your trip. The OFJCC does not offer travel insurance and cannot recommend a company.

    This trip is designed for the enjoyment of independent adults. If you require personal assistance of any kind, you must bring and pay all expenses for an escort/caregiver.

    We have no transportation once we arrive in Carmel and the planned activities require moderate walking a few blocks from the hotel to the concert venues and restaurant. If you need transportation, you will have to arrange your own with Uber or the local taxi service.

    Space is limited. Full payment by credit card is expected at registration.
