Join Caitlin Breen, a certified massage therapist, yoga instructor and doula, for a two-and-a-half-hour instructional workshop.
In this workshop, the focus is on the accompanying partner and how to emphasize their support and involvement in the birthing process. Together you will learn:
- Labor comfort measures and supportive positions for any way you birth your child, whether that is unmedicated, with an epidural or via cesarean section
- How to use a birth ball and peanut ball to naturally speed up the birthing process
- Massage techniques to stay connected throughout labor, relax and relieve tension, and encourage contractions
- Ways to support both partners in connecting to their new baby and each other during labor, birth and the fourth trimester
Expect to be up and moving around with your partner for a hands-on, kinesthetic experience.ā Each set of partners should come dressed in comfortable clothing and bring one yoga mat and one birth/exercise ball.
