Speaker: Professor Colin Price, PhD

Join us to hear from renowned atmospheric physicist Colin Price, who will present the latest research on the link between climate change and natural disasters. Gain a deeper understanding of global climate trends and their humanitarian impact on the world.
Prof. Colin Price is a professor in the department of geosciences at Tel Aviv University, and the head of the Porters School of Environmental Studies. Colin is a world-renowned atmospheric physicist, specializing in the Earth's weather and climate, with a focus on thunderstorms, climate change and natural hazards.
Colin was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1962. After beginning his university studies in South Africa, Colin transferred to Tel Aviv University in 1982, where he completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in geophysics and atmospheric sciences. He received his Ph.D. at Columbia University in New York City in 1993, while working at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, Colin returned to Israel and joined the faculty of Tel Aviv University in 1995.
Colin has published more than 130 scientific papers and has a team of ten graduate students and researchers working under his guidance on various scientific research projects.
