On November 12th, Jews around the world will share a day of Jewish learning, dialogue and exploration, joining together in celebration of all that unites us.
Join Rabbi Peretz Wolf-Prusan, Lehrhaus Judaica and the OFJCC, for: "The Plain, the Pretty, the Beautiful the Garish and the OMG! The Ethics and Economics of Aesthetics" or "You paid how much for that Etrog/Wedding/Bar Mitzvah (Safari)/Building?"—an hour-long investigation and discussion of this Talmudic text (Bava Kamma 9b).
We will study the text about Rabbi Zera who taught: "In the performance of a mitzvah one should be willing to pay even one-third more [than the normal price]."
What does that mean in our competitive, material, affluent world
Coffee and nosh provided.
Pre-registration is required at [email protected]
