Bring your preschool-aged child to make soup for seniors living in Alta Torre, the housing community for low-income seniors right next to the OFJCC. We will cook together and work with the young children to teach them the Jewish value of honoring the elderly.
The day will include making soup, cornbread and fruit salad together, as well as learning a song to sing to the seniors. The kids will also be able to help make fun decorations for the tables, afterwards we will serve the seniors lunch and enjoy lunch with them (the meal, though kosher-style, is not certified kosher. Please feel free to bring a meal with you to meet your dietary needs).
