    The [email protected] and the American Friends of the Hebrew University invite you to attend a presentation with internationally recognized neuroscientist Professor Adi Mizrahi.

    Professor Mizrahi will explore the mysteries of the brain:

    • Brain plasticity: How much do our brains really change?
    • Brain repair: Can we replace damaged brain circuits?
    • Brain function: The brain as a prediction machine
    • Parenthood: Brain changes when you become a parent
    • New treatments for neuro-degenerative diseases: Medical advancements in diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's

    Professor Adi Mizrahi is the Eric Roland Chair in Brain Sciences, Director of the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences and a professor at the Department of Neurobiology at the Alexander Silberman Institute of Life Sciences, both at the Hebrew University.

    He is the head of the Laboratory of Neuronal and Circuit Plasticity, where he and his team have developed models that facilitate and track the process of new neuron formation in the brain. He is currently on sabbatical at Stanford University where he continues his research.

    Professor Mizrahi earned his Ph.D., summa cum laude, in Neuroscience from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He was a Howard Hughes postdoctoral fellow at Duke University Medical Center, as well as a Human Frontier Science Program fellow. 

    The lecture will be held in English.
