OFJCC Palo Alto JCCSuch a beautiful, romantic, historic city, it's no wonder Paris is a popular setting for several operas!

Embark on an operatic journey to Paris with popular San Francisco Bay Area instructor James Sokol, who will touch on an array of repertoire from beloved masterpieces (such as Puccini's La Boheme and Verdi's La Traviata) to rarely-staged gems (such as Meyerbeer's Les Huguenots and Donizetti's Ugo, Conte di Parigi)—each set in "The City of Light." Audio and video performance clips bring the charm of Paris and the excitement of opera into the discussion. This is a fun and interesting exploration for both opera newcomers and long-time fans!

Senior Programs are made possible in part by generous contributions from the John R. Schwabacher Family, Diane and Jon Claerbout in memory of their beloved son Jos, as well as the Jewish Community Federation & Endowment Fund.
