This program will take you on the amazing, inspirational journey home for the Olomouc Torah.
Can you imagine a 200-year-old Torah Scroll permanently returned to its home community in the Czech Republic, kosher, for the first time in 78 years? The scroll survived the Nazis, 15 years of neglect at the hands of the Czechoslovakian communist regime, and even a hurricane!
The Olomouc Scroll had been lovingly cared for in the Peninsula Sinai Synagogue of Foster City since 1970.
In October 2017, at the request of the London-based Memorial Scrolls Trust, a group of congregants from Peninsula Sinai Synagogue, including Steve Lipman, brought this Torah back permanently to its ancestral home in the Czech Republic. The trip was an amazing, historic, one-of-a kind adventure. Steve Lipman will tell you the story which will leave you breathless. You cannot make this stuff up! The Torah even had its own boarding pass!
Steve Lipman is an operations consultant or more accurately a "canary in the coal mine" that looks at systems and helps them to operate more efficiently. He focuses on what companies need to do to get from early-stage proofs of concept to mature, marketable products and services.
Steve is an enthusiastic advocate for customer concerns. In customer feedback programs, he directed and filed the third-highest number of technically verified bugs during years-long customer feedback trial programs across multiple SKUs, 65% of which resulted in engineering code changes.
His specialties include customer success leadership and management; enterprise; SAAS; consumer products; premium support manager; integration with support, engineering and marketing; high customer satisfaction; customer onboarding and training management; and customer advocacy.
