Weekly Program
Club-J is a five-day-a-week program
Monday-Friday, afterschool until 6:00 PM

Activities
Arts and Humanities
Artistic expression in the visual and performing arts are critical in a child’s development, self expression, imagination and creativity.  Drama, art, crafts, art history, poetry, and culinary activities are just a few of the many activities that are part of Club J.

Physical Activities
Club J offers an array of physical activities and children are encouraged to participate. Discipline is a powerful character tool that builds an ethic of hard work and goal setting. Young bodies develop better when good health habits and physical activity are a regular part of life. Options include, but are not limited to, basketball, GaGa, table tennis and relay races.

Literacy
Literacy is just one way Club J helps support a child’s success in school without extending the school day with academic activity. Literacy includes reading, writing, speaking, gathering information, thinking critically, understanding others and expressing oneself. Lessons are structured around discussions of how characters within stories act and make choices.

Enrichment Classes
Club J offers many, specialized enrichment classes to enhance your child’s experience. Classes may include art, science, technology, engineering and sports. Children choose their preferred classes and study their subject is a small class setting with a qualified teacher. Four sessions of classes are offered each school year.

Community Action and Jewish Cultural Programming
Club J is guided by the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and Tzedakah (charity).  Afterschool serves as a wonderful opportunity to tap into young people’s creativity and imagination to play their part in making the world an even better place. Time will be set aside for brainstorming sessions, planning and implementation of community action projects.  Projects include, but are not limited to: monthly projects for the hungry or in-need, clothing drives, fundraising for other countries, making and selling items to raise awareness and money for Israeli causes and much more.
