Dear Friends,

For the past 10 years, the JCC has run the annual "To Life! A Jewish Cultural Street Festival," on California Avenue in Palo Alto in the Fall.  This Festival has, historically, been one of our agency's signature events, drawing thousands of people to the streets to enjoy performances, activities, food and schmoozing.

With the move to our new home on the Taube Koret Campus, the OFJCC and its programs have grown exponentially. As a result, the time felt right to re-evaluate the street festival in light of our rapidly evolving organization and role in the community.

Ultimately, we concluded that To Life! Festival no longer makes sense for our JCC either in terms of its goals or the enormous staff and financial resources required to produce this event.  Now that we have our beautiful, welcoming campus, we are accomplishing many of the original Festival goals (i.e. welcoming to all, gathering place for the Jewish community, cultural performances, etc.) right here on campus.

For these reasons, we have decided to focus our efforts on more community-wide events at the OFJCC.  The next event will take place on Sunday, October 16th as we celebrate our first "Sukkot Harvest Festival" on campus. We're in the process of developing the details of this event and will post information on our website in August.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about OFJCC community events, please feel free to contact Amy Grossmann at agrossmann@paloaltojcc.org.

THANK YOU for supporting To Life! for the past 10 years.  We hope to see you at a future OFJCC event!

Sincerely,
Amy Grossmann
