Silicon Valley Community Against Gun Violence

Silicon Valley Community Against Gun Violence is a grass roots organization founded in response Silicon Valley Community Against Gun Violenceto President Obama’s push to promote stronger gun legislation. Bonnie Bernstein started a journey with the click of a button on a MoveOn.org website, agreeing to offer her home for a community meeting. From this meeting emerged an organization that is helping to mobilize our community to take a stand for stronger gun laws to protect our citizens. Bonnie will discuss local efforts at community activism in the arena of gun violence prevention.

Bonnie Bernstein, MEd, MFT, BC-DMT, has been a resident of Palo Alto since 1986. She is a marriage and family therapist and dance/movement therapist who has worked with issues of trauma for 35 years. Her social activist philosophy dates back to demonstrations and rallies for social justice in the late 1960's.
