| Ilan Ben Natan, a 58-year-old Astrophysics Professor, is obsessively in love with his young wife, Naomi. When Ilan discovers that his deepest fears have come true – Naomi has a lover – he is unable to control himself. He confronts the lover and commits a horrible act, the consequences of which will weigh heavily on his conscience. This is a film about love, guilt, and unlimited devotion. Based on the best-selling novel by Edna Mazya, one of Israel's most successful playwrights. After the screening, we will conduct a short discussion led by Roey Shaviv, who will briefly discuss Edna Mazya’s book (Hitpartzut X) which the movie was based on. Roey Shaviv received his Ph.D. in chemistry in 1988 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is a director of technology at Applied Materials and specializes in copper metallization. In the past he was a senior integration and applications technologist at Novellus Systems Inc. (now part of Lam Research) where he specialized in reliability and integration issues associated with copper and low interconnects. He has also worked as a tech engineering section head and CMP engineering section head at Tower Semiconductors. He has lectured at the Chemistry Department of the University of Michigan and was a research associate in the Chemistry Department of University of Illinois, Chicago. He frequently speaks at the local Israeli book club, and sings with the Silicon Valley Israeli Choir “Shir Ba’Emek”. His hobbies include singing, reading, camping, and orchid growing.
