San Francisco Opera Education presents:
The Elixir of Love for Families

A free one-hour movie for children with a live introduction. Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love is a delightful comedy about the course of true love made smooth by a “magic” potion. This charming production is set in Napa Valley circa 1915.

Created from San Francisco Opera’s The Elixir of Love for Families in 2008, this one hour movie is a perfect way for children to learn about the magic of opera. The Company’s education department produced the movie version for Bay Area school and community programs.

The performance is in English, with English subtitles, 75 minutes including a fifteen minute live introduction and the one-hour movie and is recommended for ages 4-12. If your child is younger and already sits through hour-long movies, they will enjoy this opera.  Any older child or adult who is young at heart will enjoy this movie!

Family Resource Materials, including story synopsis, biographies, slideshows of production photos, and audio and video examples are located at http://sfopera.com/edmaterials.
