| Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) provides free classes on all aspects of job searches, interviewing and planning in a warm setting. The Jewish Employment Network (JEN) brings JVS employment expertise to the Jewish community. In partnership with the OFJCC, JEN offers workshops, panels, and networking events to help community members learn, connect, build skills, and find jobs. | Come by anytime during drop-in advising and Jeanine Cowan will be happy to spend a few minutes with you, answer job search related questions and provide feedback. Did you just find an announcement for the perfect job and want someone to glance at your resume? Have an interview coming up and want to practice answering a couple questions? Perhaps you’re interested in meeting with an employment specialist but haven’t scheduled an appointment (or your appointment isn’t for a couple of weeks). Drop-in advising is just right for you! | |

How to Find a Job Using Twitter Twitter is a networking and micro-blogging service that allows you to send and read short messages, 140 characters in length, called “tweets.” Twitter helps you to create a growing community, find local job openings, gain and share knowledge with others in your industry and market yourself to your professional network! Come learn how to use Twitter to help you land your next job! This workshop will cover Twitter basics, strategies for using Twitter, Twitter feed, Twitter tools, and will help you create a plan to make Twitter beneficial for you! |
